Online Vastu tools fall into two groups. Automated tools score a floor plan in minutes and take North from you. Human consultants take one to several days, charge more, and some check North themselves. The table shows what each site said about itself on 30 September 2026.

Five questions to ask any Vastu tool
- Which school does it follow? The 16-zone and 8-direction schools disagree on some placements. A score without a school is hard to check.
- How is North set? If it comes only from the plan's arrow, treat the score as provisional.
- Is the rule list published? You should be able to see why a room got its reading.
- Can you see a sample report first?
- Does it sell remedy products? A report that ends in a shopping list has a reason to find defects.

Questions people ask
Are online Vastu calculators accurate?
They are as accurate as two inputs: the rule set and North. Most automated tools take North from the user. A North that is 10 to 20 degrees off moves rooms into the next zone and changes the reading, whatever the tool.
Which school do online Vastu tools follow?
Many do not say. Ask before you rely on a score. Our check shows the 16-zone and the 8-direction readings side by side and publishes every rule on the methodology page.
Is a free online Vastu check enough before buying a flat?
It is enough to rule a unit in or out on room placement. For a final decision on an expensive purchase, have a consultant review the plan, the surroundings and North.
