Vastu dosh: the most serious defects
A Vastu dosh is a room placed in a zone that a school of Vastu advises against. Each one in our rule table has a severity from 1 to 5. The defects below are the ones rated 4 or 5, the ones most likely to be raised by a consultant or a future buyer.
These rules are a draft rule set, pending review by our consultants. Treat them as a guide, not a verdict.

How severity affects the score
Each school starts at 100. Every avoid reading subtracts 4 points for each point of severity, so a severity 5 defect costs 20 points under that school. The methodology page has the full rule list.
What remedies mean here
Remedies on this site start with steps that cost nothing, then low-cost changes, then larger changes at plan or renovation stage. We do not sell or recommend products such as pyramids, yantras or strips, and we do not advise anyone to sell a home over one reading.
