How to check the Vastu of a flat online
To check the Vastu of a flat online you need two things: the floor plan and the true direction of North. Mark the outer walls, verify North, tag each room, and the check reads every room's zone under the 16-zone and the 8-direction schools.
What you need
- The floor plan of the exact unit, as a photo, image or PDF. A builder brochure page is enough.
- The address or the building on a map, to verify North.
- Optional: a phone, to take a compass reading inside the flat.
The six steps

Mistakes that change the result
- Trusting the brochure's North arrow. An error of 10 to 20 degrees moves rooms into the next zone.
- Checking the wrong unit. Units on one floor are often mirror images. Use the mirror buttons if you only have the plan of the twin unit.
- Outlining the whole floor. Draw the outline of your flat only, not the tower or the floor plate.
- Missing a toilet. Tag every toilet, including the common one. Each is read on its own.
